I realized that the most recent post on the blog was nothing but pictures of snow! The snows have subsided and the Spring rains have caused Rosedale to explode in shades of green. However, not all have been gentle April showers. Strong storms and heavy rain upstream on April 20th put us onto the top 100 list of all time historic floods of the Rivanna River.
Trying to forget about all the things that I need to be doing outside, let alone even being able to leave the house to go to work or the grocery store, I did get a bit of photographic inspiration last night. With the newly fallen snow and full moon last night around midnight it was almost as bright as day outside. So I decided to head out with the camera and take a couple shots with only the moonlight to expose the picture.
After morning solo walks, Rose and I each with cameras in hand… we hurried to get homeschool done in the morning, and I managed to clear a couple hours in the late afternoon work schedule to get outside and enjoy the first REAL snow since we moved to the homestead.
